That's right, WP Rogers room this week. Level 4, Union House. 4-8pm as usual, see you there!

Uh... Grim shouldn't have any problems attending meets at Union Cinema. I suppose participating is another matter, but these room bookings are as good as I could manage.

Yeah, could possibly use that as leverage to get the room. :3

You know, we require a large, non-tiered room as we have members in wheelchairs.
I doubt it'd work, though.

Unfortunately the large, non-tiered rooms have been nominated for office space, which they can't compromise on. I think I've mentioned this before but I'll re-emphasise: these are not temporary bookings which can be shuffled - they've set up shop and won't be moving until April at the earliest.

From the end of April onwards our bookings will be back in Harry Medlin, provided that the offices can be relocated. (With the current progress on Hughes Plaza, I'm a little sceptical tbh).

Perhaps someone at uni can scout out the Eclipse/Equinox (I forget which one it is) to see if that is also taken by office space? Will also wait to hear from the CA about what other alternatives are available.

I'll see what I can do at the CLubs meeting tomorrow night on this issue, I'm sure there's a better option than shuffling back and forth between WP Rogers and Union Cinema, neither of which are great rooms for us.

It's kind of sad because the last 2 weeks I've walked past medlins, they've been empty. Just like before and after a regular evac.

Just went for a walk - not a single person in ANY of the rooms in question: Eclipse was how it had been left after the card centre was there last week, the harry medlin rooms had stacks of chairs and a few tables, while the WP rogers had chairs set up in rows. These are clearly not currently being used as offices, but as meeting rooms at best. Harry Medlin north had the projector screen, but Harry Medlin south had nothing in it at all.

Eaquinox was being set up for a dinner event, which does occur often enough to make us not being allowed that room fair enough. But the other three seem to be fair game, as they are certainly not being used as semi-permanent 9-5 office space. I checked in at 4, and all the rooms were dark and clearly had not been used that afternoon, possibly all day.

If they are still going to be used as offices in the next few weeks, maybe we can still get one meeting in before they start, but since it's tuesday of week 2 I'd suggest they're not doing this at all.

Ale (or anyone else who has it), can you send me on as much correspondence as you can find regarding our hiring of these rooms before the meeting? Thanks, Thom.

The Organization is a 1971 film starring Sidney Poitier as Virgil Tibbs. It was the last of the trilogy featuring the police detective Tibbs that had begun with In the Heat of the Night (1967). In it Tibbs is called in to hunt down a gang of urban revolutionaries, suspected of a series of crimes.[1] The title refers to a drug-trafficking organization Tibbs is pursuing in the film.

"The organisation" is a shady genetic engineering corporation in the fictional post-apocalyptic cult movie dead water 3.

Michael Bay is attached to direct the prequel: Dead Water Origins. Fortunately, it has been pre-emptively labelled as non-canonical.

SO! I went for a midday tour, and the only room in use was the margaret murray. Eclipse and Harry Medlin completely unused, lights off.

Yeah, gotta, say, prefer Harry Medlin. Cinema is just annoying. And not just because of the drunks.

Due to disease, I won't be attending.
Could someone please run up to Union Cinema and check under all the seats for my rather fetching blue knit jumper left there last week? It has sentimental value.

Bring pads if you're bringing your PS2. Those sticks were pretty broken.

Mmmn, I'm gonna bring both. Personally I'd rather even the most busted up stick than the world's best pad, but if people prefer pads to my shitty Mayflashes, fair enough.
