So, it turns out that the Wine Centre have finally gotten in touch with us, and we have the rooms booked from the 27th of November through to the 11th of December! That's three more weeks of gaming fun, with a two-week intermission. The room is now booked until 9, but that is the absolute deadline - we will need to be completely and utterly packed up and out of the room before the clock strikes, so an 8:30 packup is probably prudent. Meetings will still start at 4, naturally.

Hope to see plenty of you folks there!

We haven't asked but shouldn't be any issues. The wine centre kind of indicated a couple of weeks ago that they weren't taking events bookings for 2010 yet so I didn't send in January requests.

Hooray, more EVAC!

I was all pissy that I missed the "last one of the year" because I went to the soccer instead, which usually would have been well and good, but we got our arses kicked so I was pretty annoyed that I gave up EVAC for it.

I'd love to see some NSMB Wii on the ol' projector at some point during these three weeks! Maybe I'll actually get my shiz together and...turn up! *gasp!*

I suggest the club actually buy it and thus the treasurer may be obliged to purchase it with club funds.

I am likely to pass by jb (or rundle mall at least) on my way in and therefore likely to purchase it for myself and therefore likely to have it for the club to play.

Hi all :) Was pointed in the direction of this site by a fellow Rock Bander and saw that there is a meeting this Friday.

Any chance some RB will be played? :)

There may be, but it will likely only get an old CRT TV. The projector looks set to get the new Super Mario Bros.

Hey, as long as there are others playing, that's all that matters.

Where's the Wine Centre? Only been in Adelaide a few months lol

Unfortunately, I'm out due to running an Orienteering event and having a 21st that night. Have fun, and if there's any SF rankings done, leave them with the club stuff and I'll pick them up sometime.

Maybe we should save the effort and just write it over the whole map.

Wine Centre are one of the groups we have to go through in regards to bookings.

Wouldn't expect a ranbat this week, but if we have the numbers, who knows?

Indeed, we go through the complicated hierarchy of Adelaide Uni which owns the Wine Centre which manages Union House events and bookings. Hopefully this will be simplified to just contact with one person. Next year's bookings could prove wrangly, however.

Is someone able to bring PS3 instruments and I'll bring some Guitar Hero with VG music for a change in music tone? :3

Also, The Touch.

our last experience with VG guitar hero tunes wasn't very good.
In fact, they all sounded terrible and nobody wanted to play them.

I'm up for some Touch though.

Well I have GH5 with GHWT content now. So more variety plus VG tunes.

Other people have requested GH before, gets something different on a TV. Not like it'd be on the projector.

Rock Band gear also works with GH5. If anyone is able to bring a drum and guitar.

EDIT: Ale has mentioned she'll be able to bring her RB instruments too. So that would make 2 guitars and a drum set.

Also, after playing with career mode, would be interesting for people to try the challenges. eg; Pull of as many hammer-ons as possible during as a song (Guitar), Keep a 4x band multiplier as long as possible (Band).

Already have GH5 there with around 150 songs, we usually have RB2 with 300+ songs. GH5 will be a change from RB2 which is there more than any other music game. There's no need to bring a RB set, since it's always organised before hand (There's also 2 guys with full sets + extra guitars :D), like how we've done with GH5 this week, cheers for the offer, though.
